Disc Golf

So Garrett and I just kinda joined a handicapped league for disc golf. I say disc golf instead of Frisbee golf because the “real” players of the sport recognize that “Frisbee” is a brand of disc and not generic. A handicap league means that whatever you score (as in golf) either gain or lose points the next time you play. So if I score a +20 then the next time I play I start off with -18. We were playing with some lesser professionals; people that can do amazing things on the course but don’t win all the tournaments. I kinda competed with the not so amazing ones and Garrett, well, did his best. Especially considering that is was raining and very windy on and off the whole time. It was great fun. This was the last time for several weeks that we will play at Shilito and from now on we will be playing at tree-ridden Veteran’s park.

After we did that, I joined some peeps at Abuelo’s, the new Mexican embassy restaurant in front of Fayette Mall. I had the “best of the house” and it indeed was. I highly recommend it to anyone.

  1. Thank you for not adding that your Mother kept calling during your “disc” play to interupt your putting…. Glad to hear that you ended with a decent score and that you dried out!
