“Heavy Snow Warning”
December 5, 2005 on 11:19 pm | In Blog |This was the forecast this morning: “Today: Periods of snow, mainly after 10am. High near 33. Northeast wind between 6 and 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible. Tonight: Periods of snow, mainly before 1am. Low around 24. North wind around 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New snow accumulation of 3 to 7 inches possible.”
So I’m VERY excited! There is much snow both on the ground and in the air. This gives me cause to smile a lot. We didn’t get anywhere near 10 inches on the ground but a good 3 inches and rising on places where it stuck early. Another thing giving me cause to jump up and click my heels is writing my Flourishing paper. As some of you know, I was in a class that had as its strength a semester long self-improvement project. I chose to be more like Jesus. The way that I went about quantifying that was to increase my prayer times per day. Finishing it is a feat of great goodness to me. This was my favorite, most powerful, longest paper I’ve ever written. All said and done with graphs, references, title page and whatnot, is 25 pages. I’m not going to have a long, sad entry about leaving UVa yet. I do highly recommend you read my paper though. It is the best piece of scholastic and spiritual work I’ve ever been a part of. And who knows, you might learn something about prayer or something else that will change your life. Click Here!
PS. Be sure to do the CHRISTMAS CHEER link I have to the left. It’s REDICULOUSLY FUN! Also, do you see Narnia in the picture? I’m now in book 5.

It was amazing to me how no matter what you did to it, it looked great. Also experiment with the edges, cuz sometimes you can make it to where the finished flake is no longer all connected. It’s great!! I’ve got the cheer. Do you?

that is one impressive flash site. It took me a while to comprehend how it was done. It finally occurred to me how they did it, although i couldn’t actually do it myself with my current (minimal) flash skills. Very creative, and a great way to pass the time at work.
