Ewww…or hmmm…?
April 25, 2005 on 7:23 pm | In Blog |Before you ask, I’ll go ahead and tell you that hairy upper lip you see before you is mine. The amazing thing is about it all is that I’ve had this hairy upper lip for over a month now but no one noticed or cared until it stood alone. Now I’m getting a huge response. Some are like, “Get that thing away from me!”–Josh Meyers. Others are finally giving the respect. I’ve decided to keep it until I get a haircut (which is becoming quite long mind you). This could be tomorrow or sometime next week. But I will get one before I take my passport pictures.
I finally got in touch with a guy in DC about my passport situation and it’s all set. Now I just have to have my birth certificate, two pics, lots of money, and the forms to turn in. But I don’t have any existing candid shots that will meet the criteria so I will have to take a few and print them off.
I was really excited about this judo competition this weekend. Not so much anymore. Because of the lateness for me joining the judo club they won’t make me “active” and therefore pay my dues for the competition. It’s ok. I know I can do all right and the green or blue belt is not THAT important to me. Yet. I’ll most likely stick with this and in the fall compete for real. Here at the end of the semester, I’m just sore and bruised. Ahhh…PE.
As most of you know, I’m going to Guatemala this summer. I’m VERY excited to see how God is going to use me! But to ensure that all goes well, I need to raise support money. I’ve sent out a bunch of letters and still am not even to the half way mark. I know God owns everything and He will convict and bless whom He chooses to give, but I just feel like it’s getting kinda close and I’m still so far away. If anyone would like to help just let me know and I’ll show you how. Any amount will be awesome and used by God and remember that I’m praying for all of you guys too.
For the comment question today, would you rather be blind or deaf and why? This is starting right now in your life not when you were born. Mine would be blind from birth and deaf right now. Mainly, cuz I would still be able to talk and sing for the most part and I love to drive.

First of all, I am not impressed with your hair.
Second, I did not have the choice of blind or deaf -
Good question though - but how do you expect to drive if you cannot see? I think you should rethink this one if driving is THAT important to you.
For me…. My ears became my eyes! Just think…. I bet there were many phases of your facial hair that I missed! Love ya, Mom

OK…. I did not read your comment exactly right… I still don’t get that you tell others that it must be now - not from birth…
but then YOU say, blind from birth and then deaf right now - Please explain…. Maybe Mom is just slow this AM - I am on my second cup of coffee - my mind is fairly clear!

Tom Selac had a mustache and he was like the coolest guy around. Granted that was 80s but I mean common!

Yes, Tom Selak did have a mustache, but it was a full mustache, not this raggly looking thing. Even Chewbacca had a mustache, but he had hair, you don’t have it my friend. Well, there at least.
